Premiering at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, Innocence is a deeply moving documentary by Guy Davidi (5 Broken Cameras), shedding light on the tragic stories of young Israelis who resisted military enlistment but were ultimately drawn into it. Through personal diaries, rare home videos, and military training footage, Innocence illustrates how children are methodically groomed from a young age to serve in the military, at the cost of their identity and personal freedom. The film powerfully critiques the moral corruption of militarization in Israeli society, revealing the human toll on both the young people and their families.

On the day a new group of acting students arrives to see one of his provocative works, Israel launches a massive attack on Gaza at the end of 2008.
