The Face Reader

Nae-gyeong, the most renowned physiognomist of the Joseon Dynasty, lives in seclusion until he is persuaded by a courtesan, Yeon-hong, to use his talent, gaining wealth and fame. However, he gets entangled in a murder case and is compelled to uncover the truth using his skills. King Munjong later recognizes his abilities and orders him to identify traitors. Following the king’s death and the rise of the young King Danjong, a fierce power struggle begins. Grand Prince Suyang plots to seize the throne, and Nae-gyeong must risk his life to protect the rightful king.
